Adrian thrived in his new endeavor – at 6' 4" (the first Stairhopper) and with a background in athletics, he was literally built to succeed in his new passion!
To this day Adrian remains fit and is a health advocate, qualities he shares with many of his movers who also enjoy athletics and fitness. ABOUT STAIRHOPPER MOVERS
There’s one thing we want to get out of the way upfront. We are not your typical moving company. Adrian Iorga founded Stairhopper movers in 2001 with a strong desire to “break the mold” of the moving industry in Boston. He knew that Boston didn’t need yet another cookie-cutter moving company that focuses on moving stuff and making profits. Adrian wanted Stairhopper Movers to be about the people. From the very beginning, his goal was to make each customer a “customer for life.” This would not be an easy task, but it would prove to be worthwhile. To accomplish his goal, Adrian hired only the best people for all positions – from movers to drivers to support staff – because he knew that it was the people who would make all the difference.
But building a strong team is only the first step to building a customer-service-centric business. It is also important to educate, nurture and empower those people to do the best job they possibly can. That is why we emphasize experience, skill and courtesy above all other traits – and each and every team member shares the same values. As a result, we routinely make Boston moves faster, more efficient, safer, and more successful with less stress. That’s customer satisfaction in action. That was our strategy in the early days, and it has paid off. We hold the same values and beliefs today, and that’s probably why our customers have been an endless source of referrals for us. In fact, they currently provide more than 80% of our new business. We have successfully created “customers for life” and we couldn’t be happier. Our hard work and attention to customer satisfaction has paid dividends – check out our Recognition & Awards page to find out why we are one of Boston’s most decorated and highly rated moving companies for:
- Local moves
- Long-distance and interstate moves
- Residential moves
- Commercial moves
- Packing and unpacking
- Moving supplies

- And much more…

I moved from Brookline to New Hampshire and I highly recommend Stairhopper. They were on time, professional, polite, and fast. They came prepared with all supplies and were accommodating when I added last minute items to the inventory. And they're much more reasonably priced than other companies I considered. Shoutout to David, Omar, and Isaac for being our interstate team.
- “THE BEST”
Used them for a local move this summer. Compared to several other local companies, they had the best rates and the easiest booking process and website. The crew arrived right at the beginning of the time window I was given. Super quick and professional move. Nothing broke, they wrapped all my furniture safely and efficiently. Would highly recommend.
- “2ND TIME USING STAIRHOPPERS”
If you are looking for moving or packing services, you absolutely need to hire Stairhoppers. This is the second time we used them and they were incredible both times. The team members are incredible, from the person taking the reservation over the phone to the guys who physically move everything. The price is also way more competitive than other companies we have used.
- “THE BEST”
This year, I moved from New York to Boston. I decided to hire movers for the first time, and WOW am I glad I did. I can't say enough about how excellent Stairhopper movers is. Their customer service is absolutely unmatched. A representative called me within 30 minutes of submitting the form, and the movers (Selvin and Orlando) showed up right on time, professional, friendly, and EXTREMELY FAST AND STRONG. I can't recommend this company enough.
- “EXCELLENT”
We used Stairhoppers for a move from Boston to Virginia and couldn't be more happy with the experience. In addition to the flat rate for the move and delivery, we also used them for packing and unpacking services. The moving day happened to be during a Nor'Easter and the crew was very careful to wrap all of our items with extra blankets so nothing got wet. Overall I highly recommend Stairhoppers.
- “HIGHLY RECOMMENDED”
Stairhoppers helped us move from Boston to CT - they were incredibly efficient and took great care of our belongings throughout the move. They were also very reasonably priced. The Stairhoppers crew made our move so easy - we barely had to lift a finger. Highly recommend. Thank you Stairhoppers!
- “WOULD RECOMMEND”
Hired for an interstate move during one of the busiest weekends in the area for movers, and the price was reasonable and a good value for services rendered. Friendly movers, efficient loading, easy logistical process from start to finish, very responsive to questions, lots of helpful confirmation messages, and took good care of items.
- “EXCELLENT”
After an excellent experience with the Stairhoppers team in 2019, we returned to them again in 2025 for another office move. Just as before, this second move was seamless, efficient & worry-free. From sourcing the initial quote, to proactive communications ahead of the move, to the highly professional, competent & personable moving team handling everything with ease. Many, many thanks Stairhopper Movers!
